Housing

A core aspect of the work of New Jersey Community Development Corporation is to provide affordable and supportive housing in the city of Paterson and the surrounding area. Serving the homeless, people with a mental illness or a substance abuse problem, youth “aging out” of the foster care system, and the developmentally disabled, NJCDC provides individuals with a fresh start in a supportive environment. NJCDC offers exceptional housing coupled with social services such as case management, substance abuse prevention programming, and job training.

Our goal is to offer people a decent place to call home, to provide assistance in navigating everyday challenges, and, most importantly, to instill hope, confidence, and optimism among those we serve. Such programs not only provide opportunities to transform individual lives, but serve as catalysts to help build social stability and safe neighborhoods.
